At John M Taylor we believe that staff training is the key to our success. Rather than recruit staff and let them stagnate we actively encourage our staff to pursue professional training. Current Opportunities
We are currently recruiting for the following vacancies:-
Tax Assistant
The successful candidate will be interested in working in a client facing business and will have excellent numerical reasoning and communication skills. Ideally educated to degree level (but not essential), candidates must demonstrate a desire to pursue professional qualifications (ATT and/or CTA), study support will be provided to the right candidate.
Duties
The main duties of the role include:
- Tax compliance work from outset through to submission of tax returns.
- Main focus of role will be personal tax compliance work but there will be regular exposure to corporate tax and PAYE issues.
- Assisting senior members of the team with tax planning, advisory work and ad hoc technical matters.
- Direct contact with clients on a daily basis.
Requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and good numeracy skills.
- Effective time management skills and able to work as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Good IT skills
- Prior experience of working within tax advantageous but not essential.
- Willingness to study towards ATT and potentially CTA essential, study support will be offered to the right candidate.
